Finding Your Roots, One Interesting Example  Like millions of others, many of our ancestors came to America from Europe to have a better life. Some came  from big cities; others from small towns and villages. One such place was Dokshitsy, a small town now in the  Vitebsk Oblast of Belarus and in many ways Dokshitsy was typical of many of the small towns in the region.
